Obituary

Larry Arthur Alston Sr. was born on January 12, 1948 in Baltimore, Md. to Mary Christina Alston-Ruth and Willie Ruth (step-father) both who precede him in death. Larry was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. He worked at various apartment complexes providing maintenance service. As a youth he raised pigeons and he loved his goldfish. Until this day he worried about someone feeding his fish and cleaning the tank. As a young man Larry sung at neighborhood night clubs. And he thought he could cut a rug on the dance floor. Larry loved jazz, old school music, cartoons and westerns. He was also a very talented artist} for he could draw very well. You also couldn't tell Larry he wasn't dressed to kill with his alligator shoes. Larry always loved to dress and look good. On August 12, 2015, Larry gave his life to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He has words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant-you have spread my love around to all those that you have met. They know my love a little better because of you." "Come now and rest." A few,days ago, Larry fell asleep after battling a long illness on earth and awoke in the arms of his savior Jesus Christ. He has passed on the torch and memory to son: Larry Alston Jr (LaTanya); daughters: Trina Alston, Maryland Johnson, Angela Williams; grandchildren: Sven, Antonio, Ryshea, Lokiero, Lot-love, lkio, Ikeem, April, Demetrius, Kevin, Dontae, Darrell, Darius, Monyae, Quonyae, Shcntelle, Donna; 14 great grand- children; sister: Veronica Queen, and Ella Ruth (Florence, SC); brothers: William Alston (Darlington, SC) and Leonard Alston (Doris); two special cousins Yetta & Laura; A devoted friend Virginia Stanford; and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceing in death are two daughters Latonya and Jeanette Alston; a sister Maryland Alston; brothers: James and Tyrone Alston. Viewing Joseph H.
