Latasha Denise Mack, daughter of the late James Walker Jr. &
the late Shirley D. Whittington, was born on April 17, 1963 in
Baltimore, Maryland. "Tarsh (as she was affectionately called)
was beckoned home to a peaceful resting place after a sudden
illness.
Latasha was the middle child of three and matured at a very young
age, was baptized at the age of 13 along with her uncle Kim Mack
and joined the New Shiloh Baptist Church in Baltimore MD.
Tasha received her education from the Baltimore City School
System, graduating from Douglass High School. She was always
a good student, and often referred to as the teacher's pet, believed
in education. After graduation she attended Sojourner Douglass
College in Baltimore for two years, majoring in Business
Administration. Being an avid reader you could always find her
head in a book of some kind, or doing a crossword puzzle, much
like her Mother Olly.
Taking a break from college life Tasha worked in many industries
from a newspaper circular company, a print Ad Company, and to
her recent position for University of Maryland, Baltimore County
Campus as Food Services Liaison. A position that she held for
more than 13 years.
She could be a quiet person, simplistic and gentle in nature.
Family time was an especially important time for her as she shared
special moments with her two siblings (Shelly & Troy) who
preceded her in death, and her nieces and nephews. She would
later become second mother to her two nieces Shijuana & Brittany
and was sure to always be there for them. Growing up you
could find her with her extended family of; cousins, aunts
& uncles, and especially if her Grandmother Frances Mack
cooked for her. She also had an extension to her already
large family, her close and dearest friends growing up and
many remained lifelong sister friends in the Historic
Harlem Park area, friends whom she simply adored and
they her.
There was always something funny or of a silly nature
when Tasha was around, poking fun at her picky nature of
what foods she ate or almost nearly anything. She was so
serious about her taste she wouldn't even eat a burnt potato
chip from a bag of Utz chips. A woman who would tell
you in a second that she could not walk in any high heels to
low heels so please don't ask her to.
Tasha had three loves of her life and they were her children
Davon & Brionna and her grandson DJ. She would tell
anyone how she earned her gray hairs from them.
Memories and stories of the fun that she shared with
whomever she was close to are endless and will forever be
with all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children Davon &
Breonna, her grandson Davon Jr., her nieces Shijuana
Robinson & Brittany Harrell, great nieces Denae, Denerra,
great nephews Daniel, Braylon, baby Daion, Aunts,
Margaret Owens, Gerleane Robinson, Dana Mack-Marcus,
5 Uncles, Richard, Michael, Wendell, Steven, Kim, special
cousin Michelle Mack, 2 great Aunts, cherished daughter
in law to be Lashai Lyles, Sister friends, Jessica (JJ)

host of other family members and beloved friends. Viewing-Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
