Laura Rosebud Bailey was born on May 25th, 1926 to the late
Tom and Cambie Cousins (nee' Watson), in Crewe, Virginia.
She departed this life on October l Zth, 2018 to be with the Lord.

Laura received her education in the Crewe Virginia Public School
System and worked at Crewe Laundry. At the age of 21, she left
Crewe, Virginia to come to Baltimore, Maryland, where she met
and married Lester Larkin Bailey. In Baltimore, Laura worked at
St. Joseph's Hospital and Bel Air Convalescent Home . She retired
from the Bel Air Convalescent Home in the early 1990's. This
was around the same time Laura was baptized and became a
member of Little Ark Baptist Church.

Laura enjoyed shopping, evenings at home watching television
"pop ping" her chewing gum, and doodling numbers. She loved
her family more than anything, and was a firm believer of tough
love. At only 4feet 11 inches tall, 'Laura meant, what Laura said',
and her family knew it. In 2012, she became a resident at
Genesis Healthcare Facility, where her granddaughter (Tammy)
was one of her personal caregivers . Family visited her often,
and planned birthday celebrations each year for her .

She was proceeded in death by her husband; Lester Larkin Bailey,
her sons; Bobby and Gary (Darnell), son-in-law Donald, and
siblings; AI, Louise, Fernando, and Elsie May.

As the matriarch of five generations, Laura leaves to cherish her
memories: her children; Junius, Barbara, Lester, Brinda, Rickey,
and Vanessa, daughter-in - law; Wanda, son - in - law; David,
twenty - jive grandchildren, siblings; Nancy Lee, Leola, Earse l l,
Theresa and Clarence Edward, many great (great) grandchildren,
a host of nieces, nephews.friends, and a special friend to the family;
Ray Holt.
