Laverne Gupton , daughter of the late Frank T. Gupton and Catherine
Vivian Gupton-Bey and the sister of the late Frank Gupton Jr.,
Ronald Gupton, and Ralph Anderson was born on July 17, 1955.
She departed this life on March 25,2018 after a lengthy illness.

Laverne received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools
System. She graduated class of 1973 from Northwestern Senior High
School. Laverne attended Mount Zion Baptist Church as a young adult.

After high school, Laverne worked at Baltimore City Public Schools
System from 1975 to 1979. For a total of 30 years, she worked for
the Social Security Administration and the United States Postal
Service. Laverne retired from the United States Postal Service in
2009.

Laverne was very protective of her siblings. She was also very
outspoken, feisty, strong-willed, spirited, sassy and a kind person.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping and playing card games.
Her favorite game was 5000.

She leaves to mourn: her son, Devon Eric Harrison (Myecha Wilson);
her sisters, Zetha Wofford and Kim Anderson; her beloved grandson,
Kyon Gray. She also leaves loving memories to a host of other relatives
and friends.
