Obituary

Lawrence Boots Sr., or many knew him as Pop, was born on May 5, 1937
in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on March 13, 2019. Law-
rence joins in Heaven his wife Barbara, daughter Deborah, and two sons
Dwayne and Lawrence Jr.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System.
He went to Carver Vocational-Technical High School where he was
known for his football skills. He was given the nickname "Pinto Pony"
due to the unique spots on his back and how fast he could run on the
football field.

Lawrence had football scholarships lined up for college, however he
decided to end his football career at the age of 16 to get married and start
a family. He then began his career at Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point,
Maryland where he worked for many years.

Lawrence will continue to be remembered by his great sense of humor,
love for sports, and care for his family and friends.

He leaves to mourn: sister Beatrice (David); three daughters Dana,
Donna, and Dale; six grandchildren Nicole (Bryant), Keysha (Avery),
Eric, Emanuel, Samantha, and Justin; nephew, Jay; a host of great-grand-
