Lawrence Hamlin, Jr., departed this earthly life on February 19, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Born on May 3, 1943, Timmonsville South Carolina to the late Lawrence and Lucile Hamlin. Lawrence grew up in South Carolina. He received most of his formal education there at Spaulding High School in Lamar. After Lawrence graduated from high school, he began his journey north to where he resided his entire adult life; Lawrence lived in New Jersey for ten years were he developed his trade of Masonry. He then relocated to Baltimore, Maryland where in the late 70's he met his pumpkin, Beverly Singleton. Lawrence married Beverly. They were married for twenty years until Beverly's untimely death in April 2006. Lawrence loved to use his hands to build and did not mind fixing things around the house and helping others. Lawrence loved the Lord. He gave his life to the Lord at a young age and continued his relationship in his adult years. Surviving are his daughter, Angela Hamlin of Baltimore, MD; four sister, Carolyn Dargan of Baltimore, MD, Hessie Nettles of Darlington S.C., Patricia Byrd of Timmonsville, SC and Eva Mae Roberts Timmonsville, SC; two, brothers, Adams Hamlin of Darlington, SC. and Lindberg Hamlin, who preceded him in death; In-laws; Bishop George and Blanche Singleton; and one sister-in-law, three brother-in-law; and a host of nieces nephew and friends.
