Lawrence E. Henly, son of the late Louise and Anthony Henly was born on March 4, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland . He departed this life on June 29, 2006 after a short-term illness. He attended St. Monica Catholic School and Baltimore City Public Schools. In 1954, he joined the United States Air Force at the age of eighteen and served his country for approximately 4 years, until he received an honorable discharge. He was employed by Holtite Company for many years until the company moved out of Maryland; after which, he then was employed by J.E. Smith Company as a machinist and retired in 1998 after 26 years. At a early age, he received Christ and as a member os St. Monica Catholic Church where he participates in many of the church's activities. He maried Ethel Ward and from this union four children were born. Lawrence made numerous friends. He was a devoted family man. he was a fun person and loved life. He enjoyed playing and talking basketball, movies, reading, the company of his family and the peace-and-quietness of his home. His parents, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn, a devoted family: Ethel; sons, Anthony Micah, Terrence Gerard and Lawrence Edward; daughter, Adrienne Louise; special niece, Angela Henly Sabb; eight grandchildren, Charles, Neisha, Ashley, Bryant, Brittany, Tyrone, Eva-Mallay and Tiffany; one sister-in-law, Mamie Beverage; nieces, Jennette and Cheryl; nephews, Tyrone and Matthew; cousins and other relatives and friends.
