Lawrence Walker, son of Lawrence and Gertrude Walker, was born on March 15, 1945 in baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on January 6, 2011. He received his education at Frederick Douglas High School in baltimore. At the age of nineteen, he became employed with Esskay Meat Packing Company. He retired at the age of fourty-five. Some of Lawrence greatest passions were playing cards, shooting pool and playing chess. He was also a collector of antiques, and loved to listen to jazz in his spare time. Those who were touched by him understand that the quality of his existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. One of his most favorite quotes was "A scared man can't gamble, and a jealous man can't work". Lawrence was indeed in a class by himself. He leaves to mourn; two daughters, Tonya Ausby and Lawcedrea Walker; one son, Cedric Walker; two grandchildren, Gerald and Jasminne Ausby; two great-grandchildren, Mekhia Darden and Gabrrielle Ausby; five brothers, Gilbert Walker, George Williams, William Williams, Anthony Williams and Bruce Williams; four sisters, Betty Jean Williams, Diane Williams, Vanessa Willis and Mary-Joanne Williams; sousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
