Lee Roy Young was the twelfth and youngest son of the late Isaac Clayton Young Sr. and Irene A. Powell Young, both deceased. He was born on March 22, 1948 in Howard County. Upon fulfilling his earthly mission Lee Roy, age sixty-one, went home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 6, 2009. We bow in humble submission to the will of our Heavenly father who does all things well. "Wooden Head, " as he was affectionately called by his family, was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. He enjoyed baseball games, playing pool and having fun with the family. He will be remembered especially for his quick wit, sharp mind and friendly outgoing spirit. Lee Roy met and married Mary smith on July 7, 1968; she preceded him in death. From this union two children were born. Lee Roy leaves to cherish and honor his life; daughter, Michelle Young daughter Darion Young preceded him in death; two grandsons, Dwauan Puckett and Darius Berry; six siblings, Yvonne, Barbara, Edward, Helen, Geraldine and Shirley; two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a devoted friend Stella Myles. He was preceded in death by three brothers Herbert, Clayton and Joseph and two sisters Claudine and Grace.
