Lena Bailey was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and attended its public school system. While she worked a part time job, she was mostly a dedicated religious housewife and mother of two children. She spent practically most of her adult life in church while encouraging others. She liked to travel and generally enjoyed life. She also liked children and family gatherings which she would be especially fond of during the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was well known in the church community when she crossed over Friday, March 3, 2006 to answer the call. We will truly miss her forever, leaving behind: two sisters, Dorothy and Gloria; her son, Dennis; her grandchildren, Michael, Sharron, Bernard, David, Curtis, Kim, Christy and Sherri; her great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
