Lendro's Story

Lendro Baker, son of the late Andrew and Mable Baker, was born on April 6, 1929 in Florence, South Carolina. He departed this life on December 21, 2020 after a lengthy illness.

Lendro was educated in the Florence, South Carolina Public School System. He later moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he held several jobs as a General Laborer. During his time in Baltimore, he became the proud father to three children: Terrance, Valerie and Lendro. This role in life gave him much pride and joy.

Lendro later relocated to Berlin, Maryland where he met and married the love of his life Leola Purnell who proceed him in death.

Lendro was affectionately known as Pinky or Pops. He loved spending time with family and friends. During Pinky's health challenges, Robin and Michael Williams, opened their home with caring hands until his passing.

Lendro leaves a legacy to cherish his memory; three children: Terrance (Peggy) Briggs, Valerie (Robert) Woods and Lendro Thomas; six grandchildren: Sheriese, Asia, Laurence, Patrice (Kenyan), Whitney and Kendall. Nine greatgrandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, the Williams/Campbell family and a host of friends and family.
