Lenora Powell, Daughter of the late Joseph E, and Beatrice Stewart, Was born on Febuary 18, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life after a lengthy illness. Na-Na as was affectionally known by many, she attended Baltimore City Public School, She worked in a local dry and box factory, Were she met and married the late Carl Powell "Silm". This union was bonded by God., Love, And devotion.The two were inseparable, They were married for forty years, until his untimely death. Na-Na's main passion was children, She knew the importance of nuturing, And was responiable for proving, protecting, love and spoiling hundreds of children throuhout her whole life, And was excellent at doing so. Christ was the center of her life at all times, She truly enjoyed anything affiliated with church, Na-Na was rasied in church by her late grandmother, Rev Bradey, She later joined New St.Paul Christan Baptist Church, And then moved to Mt.Horizon until her illness, Her farvorite sayin was this"Who Would Not Serve A God Like This". Na-Na favorite past time was cooking, shopping, family gathering, singingIn her own tunes, And lisening to gospel music, Na-Na had a very special bond with her son bimmy, Granddaughter Mi-Mi and great grandson Jordy.She lived for them. She leaves to mourn:One son JamesJohnson, One devoted grand-daughter Michele Johnson, One great-grandson Jordon Barnes, One daughter-in-law Virginia Jonhson, Her surving sister Helen Stewart, Beatrice Nowlin and Mary Tripp, Who proceded her in death, Two brothers, Joseph Stewart and James Stewart, One sister in law Mary Stewart, And a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, onw former devoted daughter in law Cora johnson and a devoted care provider Carloyn Owens.
