Leon W. Brooks, son of the late William Brooks and
Dorothy Robinson, was born on July 13, 1945 in
Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on July 4,2018.

At the age of 16, Leon went to Job Corps in Texas. After
completing the course, he returned home to Baltimore and
obtained his first job at Koester's Bakery. He concluded his
work career at Potts and Callahan where he completed
30 years of service and retired.

Leon loved life and had many enjoyable activities that he
actively pursued. Leon's first love
(besides his loving wife, Saundra) was fishing. He absolutely
loved to fish and if there was a way to do it 24 1 7 he would have.
He also loved to fry up and eat whatever he caught!

Leon loved playing with his grand kids and was affectionately
known as Pop Pop. He loved going to the Eastern Shore to
spend time with his "brother" Junior and doing home
improvement projects with his buddy, Bell.

Leon was a great friend. He loved going downtown to hang out
with his buddies from his old neighborhood. He never met anyone
he didn't like. Everyone he came in contact with became a friend.

Leon was actively engaged in studying God's word, the bible,
with Jehovah's Witnesses before his death.

Leon is survived by his loving wife, Saundra; his brother,
Raymond Williams; sisters, Jennie Williams Wilson,
Darlene Williams, Ruth Williams (deceased); daughter,
Dionne Brooks; sons, Leon Brooks, Ernest Brooks
(wife, Tina Scrivner); step daughter, Joy Spencer; stepson,
Reginald McNeill; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren,
3 step grand children, 7 step great grandchildren and a host
of friends.
