Leon McCoy Jones, son of the late Solomon A. Jones Sr. and

Margarete Jones, was born on August 12, 1959 in Baltimore,
Maryland.

Leon was educated through the Baltimore City School System and
graduated from Baltimore City College High School.

He was baptized at the Israel Baptist Church in 1993 and committed
his life to Christ.

Leon was employed by "Janda Florist" for over 30 years and self
employed as a floor technician.

His character can be described as very humble and quiet, the type of
helpful person, doing whatever he could to assist whenever called
upon.

Leon's unexpected departure from the earthly realm has certainly left
a profound hurt in our hearts; yet we take confidence in God's
promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the
Lord.

He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy; wife Sharon Harris, (3)
Biological children, Tashana Carter (Dewayne), Leon Jones Jr., Lanea
Jones (Sharon), (5) Step-Children, Jeanie Brown (Lenwood), Tonya
Gray, Dennis Morton, Shavone Coleman, and Tyrone Hooper, (3)
Sisters, Dorothy Griffin Stephanie Jones, and Darlene Stewart, (2)
Brothers preceding him in death, Solomon Jones Jr., and Darryl
Jones, (2) Aunts, Clara Brackett, and Celestine Mease, (27)
Grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and
friends. Special friends; Jeffrey, David, Gerald, James and Theresa
Monk.
