June 22, 2011, after a long battle with cancer, Mr. Leroy Carr died at Union Memorial Hospital. Leroy was born on June 2, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland to Wyolia and George A. Carr, Sr. He served a tour in the United States Air Force until 1954. He also served a tour in the United States Army until 1959. Leroy retired from the Baltimore Museum of Art, where he had worked as an electrician. Leroy is survived by four stepchildren, Jenny Wiggins, Felicia Mayo, Daryl Campbell and David Mayo; grandson Marcus w8iggins; devoted sister-in-law, Myrine Buford; beloved sister, Marion Freeman and her seven children, Frances, Inez, Michael, William, Angela, Jeffery and Wayne; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
