IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leroy J.
Johnson
November 14, 1947 – May 9, 2019
Leroy Junior Johnson, son of the late Edith and George
Johnson, was born on November 14, 1947. He was
called home to be with our Lord on May 9, 2019, at the
Brinton Woods Post-Acute Care Center, just months after
being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He was educated
in the Baltimore city Public School System. He began
working at an early age for Barr Stafford factory. Leroy
frequented a Baptist church located on Monument Street
in East Baltimore.
In 1978 Leroy was medically declared legally blind and
was found to be totally death in right ear and partially
death in the left ear. He was later diagnosed with
Schezophrenia and Kidney Failure. His caregivers were
Aliceteen Wax, William Asbell and Cynthia House.
Leroy knew he was among family and lived a happy life.
Leroy loved his family but also enjoyed his alone time.
There was certainly nothing wrong with his memory. His
favorite radio station was 95.9, where he would sing the
oldies but goodies out loud. And he didn't just stop there
he also sing acapella too. Leroy loved to watch or listen
to TV mostly sitcoms. He loved to eat homemade soul
food, namely fried chicken leg quarters. One of Leroy
favorite persons was his nephew Algernon Wax. He
would often ask "Where Algernon". Although we will miss
Leroy his suffering is over and may his soul rest in peace.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Wise
and George Johnson Jr., two Sisters Margaret Johnson
and Aliceteen Wax and leaves to mourn his sister,
Christeen King; nieces and nephews, and a host of other
relatives and friends
