LEROY TURNER was born to Essie Mae W!orthingrol1 on September 16,1944 in Pendleton North Carolina. He was the oldest grandchild of Lillie Mae Jordon. He departed this life all Sunday February 11,2018 at the age of 73.
LEROY received his early education in the North Carolina Public School System graduating in 1964 from Willis Fare High School in Pendleton, North Carolina. After graduating high school Leroy moved from North Carolina to Baltimore, Maryland and began his career as a Dietary Aide at the University of Maryland Hospital, retiring after 45 years of service.
Leroy loved being around his family and often traveled back to North Carolina for family functions and simply to visits. He made sure he visited his special Aunt Louise (Ed), Aunt Jett and cousin Terri.
Leroy was preceded in death by his mother; Essie Mae Worthington, grandmother; Lillie Mac Jordan and brother Melvin Worthington.
Leroy leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife Ruth Turner; two daughters, Laquitra Railey (Daniel), and Bridget Parks-Ellerbee (Daniel, Sr.); six grandchildren, Daniel, Kendra, Ashley, Dominick, Courtney, and Tia; three great grandchildren, Tyshawn, Kayla, and Daquan; 'three siblings, AlU1 Vinson (Wilson), Vivian Brooks (Waync, Sr.), Vicki Worthington, all of Murfreesboro, NC; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
