Leslie Ann Carter, youngest daughter of Carvella Fussell and
the late Robert Fussell, Sr., was born on April 12, 1960 and departed
this life suddenly on November 28, 2015. Her oldest brother Robert,
Jr., preceded her in death.
Leslie received her formal education in the Baltimore City Public
School system. She furthered her education in cosmetology and the
medical field working as a certified nursing assistant and medicine
aide. She received her religious education as a child at St. Gregory
the Great Catholic Church and later relocated to St. Louis Parish in
Clarksville, Maryland where she was a devoted parishioner. She was
very passionate about her work, patients and clients. Anytime a
family member or friend was ailing she jumped in willing and ready
to comfort and assist. At the time of her passing, she was pursuing a
degree in nursing.
Leslie, known to some as Les or Chic-Chic loved her family and
friends and was often the life of the party especially at family gather-
ings. She was hilarious and could brighten any room with her infec-
tious smile and outgoing personality. She loved to roller skate, dance,
ski, laugh, and tell her stories. She couldn't go any place without
running into someone she knew. Her generous heart and warm spirit
touched everyone. She learned how to bake her mother's famous
pound cake, thinking she could pull rank and dethrone her sisters.
That didn't happen (smile).
Leslie met and married Mr. Steven Banks and from that union two
beautiful daughters were born,Alisha and Jenise. She shared her
second marriage with Robert Carter for 15 years. He develop a close
relationship with her children and grandchildren who calls him
Pop-Pop.
