Obituary

Leslie B. Fauntleroy, affectionately known to all as "Ben","Fauns" or "Roy", was embraced by the love of his parents, Vannie Blue and Georgianna Fauntleroy on February 14, 1933, in Virginia. He was called home on August 23, 2009, to embraced the comfort of God's love. Fauns, the youngest of three, was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Mae and brother, William Fauntleroy. He received his education in the Virginia Pulci Schools System. He later moved to Baltimore, Md in his early 20ties. Fauns later married his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Hall on April 23, 1960. Their union brought forth five devoted sons and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly called him "Pop-Pop". When Fauns united with her family who embrace him, loved him and called him one of their own. He worked for many years at B. Morton Moving Company and Consolidated Movers. He reteied in 1993 from Levin Furniture Company. Fauns loved to cook, and everyone in the neighborhood loved his cooking. You knew when you visited with Fauns, he would offer you "something good" to eat. Everyone loved his sweet potatos pie, cornbread dressing, and many other dishes. Fauns enjoyed his favorite hobbies, playing cards and listening to "oldies but goodies" music, when he was not cooking. Fauns and Liz commitment to each other has stood the test of time. His family's dedication lovinly embraced him to the end. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Elizabeth; Five sons, DerekPactricia, Darren, Dale, Dion and Dwayne; three daughter-in-law, Annie V. Hall; eightsiters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; seven special nieces and nephews from Warsaw, Va;a special cousin, Louise Woods' three special brothers, James Chandle, Skip Daye and Charles Elliott, two God-daughters, Sharon and Robyn;his cooking buddy, Etta Byrd; and a host of otherniece, nephews, cousins and friends.
