Levi Deon Stokes, son of Juanita Gamle and Levi Stokes was born on March 9, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland. Deon was blessed to have Jerry Gamble who he affectionately called pops to come into his life at an early age, a father who loved and cherished him until he departed this life on December 6, 2005. He received his education in Baltimore County Public Schools. Deon reveived a variety of awards and trophies while playing football for the Gators's a little League Team in Carroll County. He worked at various jobs over the years but became ill at an early age which prvented him fro pursuing a life long career. Deon was a member of the church of Jesus Christ Inc. under the leadership of Bishop James A. Gamble III. Deon was a loving and kind person with a big heart. He always greeted you with a smile and a hug. He always enjoyed spending time with his daughter Shakia who he very lovingly called Kee-Kee. Family was very important to him. He came to know and love five very special children, Lisa, Shameka, Brian, Melvin, and Richard. He made numerous friends wherever he went and touched the lives of many of those he came in contact with and lift his mark upin them. He will be missed by eveyone who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother and father, Juanita and Jerry Gamble; two brothers Jerry and Deontay, Daughter Shakia Stokes, two grandmothers Maxine White, and Gertrude Gamble, two grandfathers Ernest Holmes, Bishop James Gamble III, eleven aunts, six uncle, thirty cousins, his dedicated friend Michael Cooper and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Levi Stokes, his grandfather Sylvester Stokes, his grandmother, Cora Lee Holmes and his grandfather, Robert White.
