Lillian Haymes Drumwright was born to the late George S. and Mary Young Haymes in Riverdale, South Boston, Virginia on April 4, 1926. Her Heavenly Father called her home on Saturday, July 27, 2013 after being affectionately cared for at the Genesis Long Green Center for 3 years. Lil, as she was affectionately known, received her education in the Halifax County, VA public schools, Virginia State College, Petersburg, VA and Apex Beauty School, Baltimore, MD. Lil was a beautician entrepreneur before becoming an educator at the Knox Presbyterian Daycare and then the Children's Guild, Inc. from which she retired after many years of service to "troubled children". Lil received the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, and united with the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church until her migration to Baltimore. She then united with the Union Baptist Church family where she faithfully served working with the children and youth in "Junior Church" until her health no longer permitted. Upon moving with her daughter, she fellowshipped with the Christ Church of Deliverance and Victory family until death. On August 10, 1949, Lillian covenanted in holy matrimony before GOD to Frank Ellis Drumwright, who preceded her in death just 3 months prior to her homegoing. From this union, 2 children were born, Pamela JanEl and Frank Ellis, Jr. (Frankel) who also preceded her in death in 2006. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Pamela JanEl Drumwright, brother Robert Haymes (Bob), daughter-in-law Monique Hines Drumwright, 2 grandchildren Princess D. Hines and Dererrick Fitzgerald, 3 great grandchildren, inlaws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of children she nurtured throughout the years (Micheal Ashford, Sir Martinez Webster Bianca, Michelle, Eunice, Carleton, et al.)
