LILLIAN DELORES JACKSON, daughter of James and Lillian
Carr, was born on January 1, 1943. She departed this life on
May 10, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Lois, as she was affectionately known, was the older of two
children. She received her education in the Baltimore City school
system, one of the first African-American women to graduate
from Western High School.
She later met and married James Jackson and received her one
and only daughter Monique.
She retired after thirty years with Baltimore City Water
Department. Lois was very kind, generous, patient, loving;
she loved to laugh and she loved to dance. At Brinton Woods
Nursing Home she was known as "dancing machine." She loved
the Ravens and watching the O's. One of the highlights of her
life was going to Paris, France. She especially enjoyed shopping.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, William "Curley"

Sr.; five grandchildren, Karl and his wife, Tyra Jackson, Carla
