Lillian "Shirley" Smith, daughter of the late Briscoe and Lillian Smith was born on July 26, 1935. She departed this life suddenly on Sunday, May 31,2015. Lillian "Shirley" attended the Baltimore City Public School System and she completed (2) two years of college. Later in life she became the proud parent of (2) two wonderful kids, the late Cathy Juanita Smith and Peter Tyrone Jessup Sr. Shirley had a great personality, she was a very serious thinker, and she loved to write short stories. She also enjoyed going to the Waxter Center where she played cards, went on trips and she attended a class in creative writing. She enjoyed spending time with her only son "Pete ", his wife, Tonya, the grand and the great grand kids, family and friends. She faithfully attended the St. Luke United Methodist Churchfor over 50 years under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Davis. Shirley's daughter, Cathy Juanita Smith preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn: her only son, Peter Tyrone Jessup Sr., his wife, Tonya Jessup; two sisters, Iris Ann Gibson and Ruth Catherine Miller; eight grand kids, Peter (PJ), Jasmine, Janea, Tierra, Bryant, Andrea, TaNyra and Tyrell; four great grands, McKenzie, Laila, Dion and ZaNyi- ia; two god daughters, Tracy Denise Shaw and Antonia C.
