August 16, 1954 – March 31, 2019
Baker the daughter of Lenwood Lunn and the late Olivia Lunn
was born on August 16, 1954 in Baltimore Maryland. She entered eternal rest on
March 31, 2019 while in her home.
Linda received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She attended 17
Calvert Adult Education Center graduated and received a certificate. She joined the military and
was a proud member of The Army National Guards. She developed and attained training skills
in the cleaning industry as well as driving for local private transportation companies Grey
Hound and LB Transportation Service. Linda also went to Tractor Trailer School and received a
certificate commercial driving.
God blessed her with many talents. She was baptized at an early age at Carters' Temple Church
of God in Christ under the leadership of (the late) Dr. James R. Carter. She also was a member
of John Westley United Methodist Church.
Linda met and married Thurmond Baker and out of this union they were blessed with three sons
and one daughter India, whom preceded her in death.
Linda was honest, faithful and had a good sense of humor with a welcome smile." Faith is the
key that opens the door to happiness, and always believed that something wonderful is about to
happen, if you just believe in "God."
In addition, to her loving memories of her late mother Olivia Lunn, she was preceded in death
by her brother William Lunn and her daughter India Baker.
She leaves to treasure her memories: her father, Lenwood Lunn; husband, Thurmond Baker;
three sons, Daniel & Donald Wise and Terance Baker; one daughter-in-law, Tamika; one
grandson, Daniel Jr. Wise; seven brothers, Lenwood Jr., Fredrick, (Brenda) Norris, Jerome,
Amos, Curtis, Willie; two sisters, Maggie of Baltimore and Francie Lunn of Columbia,
Maryland; Dear friend Diane Miles, Godchildren, Terri, Randy & Malcolm; a host of nieces,
nephews, in-laws, uncles, aunts and friends.
