Linda Beverly Garrett,began her life on Tuesday, February 9, 1954. She was born the daughter of the late, James D. and Marcia E. Smith, in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of sixty-six, Linda departed this earthly life at home. She slipped away home to Jesus on Sunday, April 5, 2020, after beingdiagnosed with a terminal illness that onset July, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her father, James D. Smith, Sr. in 1986, her mother, Marcia E. Smith in 2009, brother James D. Smith, Jr. in 1985, and brother Garry D. Smith in 2011.

She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Linda was a homemaker however, at various times she was employed at several businesses, such as, Marriott In-flight Service, Church Hospital, and First MountCalvary Church.

Linda enjoyed cooking! She loved to experiment with new recipes. Her favorite food to make was homemade pizza with her grandkids, Chinese food, and Christmas cookies. However, various salads were her specialty.

Her hobbies were home interior design and decorating for Christmas; taking after her mother Marcia. She would always have a unique theme when decorating. Linda was an enjoyable person, she kept everyone around her laughing. People would naturally gravitate toward her. Linda enjoyed hosting family gatherings during holidays, annual summer cookouts and splash parties for her grandkids, as well as pleasurable visits with her friends at home.

InSeptember, 1973, Linda married Lester N. Garrett, Sr. (they divorced and he preceded her in death in 2011) from this union born 2 children. Later years, she engaged with William "June" Chapman (deceased in 2020) and from their union born 3 children.

Linda leaves to cherish precious memories: 4 daughters; Lucretia Garrett,Myra Chapman, Lovette Chapman, and Monica Chapman of Los Angeles,CA;1 son, Lester Garrett; 2 siblings; 1 sister; Deborah Smith, 1 brother;David Smith;1 son-in-law, Baryochai Mosby; 1 daughter-in-law Lisa Garrett;1sister-in-law, Cheri Smith;13grandchildren 1 great grand daughter,and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives;a very specialfriend,Anthony "Tony" Honeyblue, and 2 lifelong best friends;Donna Ryan-Mason and Lorie Ojo.
