Lisa Renee Smith was born on October 11 , 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland to Louise Teresa Smith and the late James Fredrick Smith. After battling a lengthy illness, she departed this life on May 12th, 2013. Lisa was a member of Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Baltimore. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She attended Southwestern High School and later earned her General Equivalency Diploma. She became a certified data entry clerk and was employed by Park West Health Systems. Lisa was an extremely talented and much sought after hair stylist. She loved to look her best and thoroughly enjoyed helping others to do the same. She possessed an impeccable sense of fashion and had a style that was all her own. Along with Lisa's passion for fashion, she also loved listening to music. She was an incredible dancer who was accepted into The Baltimore School for the Arts. Her magnificent dance moves were evident whether she wore high heels or roller skates. Lisa's most cherished and greatest achievements in life were being a mother and grandmother. She was blessed with two children, Tiffany Renee Johnson, who was born on February 7th, 1984 and Darryl Zachary Thames, who was born on June 15th, 1987. She was joined in marriage to Savel Martin on May 31, 1996. Lisa adored her role as grandmother. Her beloved grandchildren Tyler, Darah, Logan and Darryl III affectionately called her "Gaga." To Lisa, they were each love and joy personified. Being a presence in their lives, whether it was accompanying them to trips to Disney World, birthday parties, school events or simply enjoying their company, gave her the greatest sense of pride and contentment. They were her inspirations, motivations and rays of hope even during her most challenging days. Lisa was a doting and much adored aunt to her many nieces and nephews. When left in her charge, she protected and cared for them as if they were her very own. During her final weeks, she was comforted with an abundance of love and support from her family and friends. Lisa's beloved children lovingly attended to their mother's needs throughout her illness. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, James; a sister, Jacklin; and a brother, Dwight. She is survived by her mother Louise, children Tiffany and Darryl and their devoted father Savel; grandchildren Tyler, Darah, Logan and Darryl ill and daughter-in-law Latisha. She also leaves to mourn sisters Barbara, Jessica and Nannette. She resided with Nannette who lovingly cared for Lisa during her illness. She is also survived by brothers Alva, Edward, Lamont and Keith; a God-daughter, Keisha; and devoted friends, Wendall, Lisa and Priscilla and a countless host of family and friends. Viewing Joseph H.
