Lloyd L. Thornton, son of the late Robert Thornton and Charlotte
Thornton was born on September 4, 1935 in Annapolis, Maryland.
He departed this life on December 14, 2018 after a brief illness.

He received his education at Bates High School in Annapolis,
Maryland . He then served and was Honorably Discharged from
the U S. Marines in 1953.

Mr. Thornton was a member of the Brothers of St. Cecilia and
also a member of the St . Cecilia Faithful Ushers.

He was a quiet and humble person that loved being around
family.

He loved family holiday dinners (especially the sweet potato
pudding). He especially lo v ed attending the family reunions in
Glen Burnie, MD where he would look forward to seeing his
cousin Shirrell Garrison since
they shared the same birthday. He also loved watching sports .

He is survived by: his sister, Florine Thornton Fuller and his
cousin Shirley Smith. He is also survived a host of nieces and
nephews: Henry Fuller II - nephew, Lorna Branch - niece, Gary
Fuller - nephew, Addie Fuller - niece, Preston Fuller - nephew,
Robert Thornton - nephew , and Reginald Thornton - nephew;
including a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Thornton is preceded in death by the following sisters
and brothers : Mary Thornton - sister Jewette Thornton - brother
Oscar Thornton - brother Anota Thornton - sister Robert Reed
Thornton - brother Mozell Elaine Thornton - sister.
