IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lloyd Melvin
Young Jr
March 20, 2022 – April 29, 2022
Lloyd Melvin Young, Jr, son of the late Lloyd Melvin Young,
Sr. and Mary Marshall, was born on March 20, 1973 in
Baltimore, Maryland. On April 29, 2022, Lloyd peacefully
transitioned from his earthly life to be with the Lord
Lloyd, affectionately known to family and friends as "Black"
or Love" received his education at Forest Park High School.
He held numerous jobs during his lifetime.
Lloyd accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an
early age. He knew the Bible and was very knowledgeable of
the word.
in 2006, Lloyd met Sharon Shields and they became friends,
which later led to a Holy Matrimony on February 19, 2014.
Lloyd cherished and enjoyed his wife wholeheartedly. He
loved spending time with his family and friends. Lloyd loved
to dress and look fly, always making a fashion statement.
He loved his Baltimore Ravens and Michael Jordan. He took
pride in his children and their accomplishments, always a
proud dad. The love he had for his mother was never ending,
their bond was unbreakable. He was a fun and loving
person, gull of joy and laughter. The true friendships that he
maintained throughout his life were solid. He will truly be
missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving
wife, Sharon Shields-Young; his mother, Mary Marshall;
mother-in-law, Sharon Fields-Bass; one brother-in-law,
Lance Shields; four daughters, Latoya, Jordan, Taylor, and
Morgan; one son, Lloyd; two stepchildren, Michael and
My'kel Harris; one sister, Deborah Marshall-Eze; four
brothers; grandchildren; one niece, Briana Eze; three aunts,
Kena Smith, Genene Miller, and Brenda Miller; two great
aunts, Mildred Thompson, and Ophelia Griffin; one uncle,
James Miller; and a host of relatives and friends.
Although we grieve, it has been a privilege and a blessing to
love and to have been loved by Lloyd A.K.A Black.
