MRS. LOIS OMETA CLIFTON BRODIE, the wife of the late Sidney Albert Brodie, passed away on February 4, 2014. Mrs. Lois Ometa Clifton Brodie was born on September 16, 1924, the youngest daughter of the late Edward Clifton and Lillie Mae Wright Clifton in Louisburg, North Carolina. She was educated in the Royal School in Louisburg, North Carolina. Lois accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of her family church, St. Delight United Church of Christ in Louisburg, North Carolina. She was married to the late Sidney Albert Brodie on June 8, 1946. From this union five children were born. Lois worked at the Harbor View Nursing (later known as Federal Hill) in Baltimore, Maryland for 30 years as a nurse's aide until her retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Bernard of the home in Baltimore and McMiller of Baltimore, Maryland and one daughter, Lois Ann Brodie Richardson (Jerome) of Baltimore, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her sons Sidney Albert Brodie and Jonathan Brodie. She is survived by one brother, Freddie Clifton (Dorothy) of Louisburg, North Carolina; one sister, Vera Clifton Ellis of Louisburg, North Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Jesse and Charles of Louisburg, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Alice Brodie Rodgers of Louisburg, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
