Lorenzo Charles Hubbard
affectionately called "Dickie" was born on February 24, 1946. Lorenzo was blessed with two sets of loving parents: Rosa E. Dixon; and the late Lorenzo and Grace Hubbard. Lorenzo made his transition into eternal rest on Friday, October 9, 2015.
Lorenzo received his early education at St. Pius V Catholic Schools and from there he attended the Baltimore Public School System, graduating from Carver Vocational High School in 1964.
Lorenzo accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church, Baltimore, MD. In 1988, he became a faithful member of St. Bernardine Roman Catholic Church, Baltimore, MD. He loved his church family.
After graduating high school, Lorenzo was drafted into the United States Army. After twenty five years, in March, 1990, he retired from the military. Lorenzo met his soul mate, Lelia Bernardine Brown in 1963, they were married on June 1, 1968. From this union three sons were born: Lorenzo Charles Hubbard, Lamont Anthony Hubbard, and La'Troy Darnell.
Lorenzo loved family life and was always found cooking a scrumptious meal at family and church gatherings. He loved travelling, especially cruising! He loved bowling, the Orioles and the Ravens, and he also loved his cooking gadgets. Lorenzo was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Lorenzo's memory and influence will remain forever with his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lelia; his mother, Rosa; three sons: Lorenzo, Lamont, and La'Troy, Sr. (Kanika); four grandchildren: Briana, Dyamond, Kayla, and La'Troy, Jr.; three brothers, Michael (Sharon), Gary (Chung), and D. Bruce; and one sister, E. Michelle (AIi); his mother in-law, Helen; two sisters in-law, Iris and Helen (Jerome); one brother in-law" Jerome (Gloria); five faithful god daughters: Tina, Michelle, Londa, Tracie, and Lanise; a faithful and devoted friend, Leander Scott; and a hostof loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends. Dickie will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, and he will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
