Lorenzo Mark Robinson, III, affectionately known to many as "Mike" and to
his family as "Junie", was the third oldest child of seven, born to the late
Lorenzo and Bertha Robinson on February 28, 1950. He departed this
life after a lengthy illness on June 29, 2016.
Mike (Junie) began school in St. Pius V Catholic School, matriculating
to Baltimore City College High School where he was an active student,
participating in several sports, especially football for which he was
slated to perform professionally, until a knee injury prevented that goal.
He went on to work in various jobs, one of the last was as a chef in
World Famous Lexington Market.
Mike (Junie) met the love of his life in the early 1970's and married
Donna Armstrong in August, 1976. From this union a son-Maurice, and
daughter- Danita, was born.
As many knew, Mike (Junie) loved to cook, play ping-pong and chess.
He was also an awesome pinochle player and would often play with
family members, boasting about his expertise. He also loved to dance,
listen to music, especially the Temptations, with "Get Ready" being one
of his favorite songs. He was also a jokester, with a great sense of
humor, and a unique, and loud laugh!
Junie/Mike will be remembered as a loving family man, who enjoyed
helping his family, such as running errands for his aunt, cutting his
father's hair, or giving advice to his son.
Junie/Mike leaves to cherish his memories: son, Maurice, one daughter,
Danita; six grandchildren, Donte, Dashaye, Danaya, Saliyah, Kailyn,
and Karmen; ex-wife, Donna Armstrong; brothers, Danny Robinson,
Johnny Robinson, Howard Robinson, Reginald Carpenter; sister,
Yvonne Robinson; devoted and loving aunt, Delores Robinson and a
host of family and friends. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
