Obituary

Loretta Talbott, was born on December 3, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland, the oldest daughter of Gertrude and the late Gossie Talbott. She grew up in the Cherry Hill Community. Loretta departed this life suddenly on August 29, 2015. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and received her diploma from Southern High School. Loretta received her license in Cosmetology and enjoyed doing her family andfriends hair in her moms house were they gathered and partied on the weekends. Loretta had several jobs she loved especially when she worked as an assistant in a Before and After School Program. Loretta loved children, she had no problem teaching, mentoring, and playing games with the neighborhood children or anyone else's children she came in contact with. For the last 8 years of her life she worked as an associate for the Department of Motor Vehicle Administration and often referred to her co-workers as her MVA family. Loretta was a strong, honest woman who was always full of life. Every where she went people and children gravitated towards her, whether she liked it or not. She loved to travel and explore different aspects of life. If there was an event in, out or around Baltimore, she was the first to say lets go. She really enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach for her yearly Labor Day Weekend getaway with her bestfriend. Loretta was a prayer warrior who truly loved the Lord. She was often that person who everyone called in, there times of trouble. She will sincerely be missed by everyone who knew or even came into contact with her. She leaves to mourn: her loving mother, Gertrude Talbott; her son who she loved deeply, Steven Jackson; two sisters, Lorraine and Doreen; one brother, Adam; one brother-in-law, John Madison; two nieces, Ayauna Talbott and Kentiara Watkins; one nephew, Josiah Sr.; three great-nephews, grandmother, Gertrude Peterson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she loved deeply, who will miss her dearly.
