Lorette Jenkins Davis was born on October 31, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland to Dolores Nova sterm Jenkins and the late William Leroy Jenkins.She departed this life to be received of God on December 23, 2011. Lorette graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1975 and went on to attend the University of College Park to pursue studies in health sciences. While there, she met her husband, Stanley Davis and they were wed on December 26, 1977. For several years she accompanied her husband on his tour of duty with the United States Air Force to New Mexico and Florida. It was there in Florida in January of 1982 that the joy of her life, their daughter, Siren was born. Upon returning to Baltimore, Lorette was employed and excelled as phlebotomist, working in the Johns Hopkins Health System as a Laboratory Technician Supervisor. She also taught a phlebotomy certication course at the Baltimore City Community College. Lorette recommitted her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She was baptized in his name in 1992 at the Obedience Church of God, where she faithfully served. "Rette", as she was affectionately called was a very loving and humbled person. She never sought to be in the spotlight. Her gentle spirit and tender heart endeared all who came to know her well. She loved her three grandchildren more than anything and they equally adored her, always longing for there gradma to bady-sit them. Cherishing fond memories is her husband, Stanley; her loving daughter Siren Davis;devoted mother, Dolores;three grandchildren, LaVar Jr., Saumni and Tristy; brother, Alvis Jenkins;three sister, Luvenia Jenkis Coleman, Dawn Jenkins and Wanda Jenkins;close lifelong friend, Charlotte Mangum Johnson;and a host of brother-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other family members and dear friends.
