Obituary

LORRAINE CHRISTINE WHITE, the daughter of the late Victor and Christine Holland Howard, was born on February 2, 1936, in Anne Arundel County. The morning of September 20, 2024, at 7:26 a.m., Lorraine earned her wings and went home to be with the Lord.

Educated in Anne Arundel County School System, Lorraine exhibited a passion for math. She could count money and add figures in her head even in her latter-years. Lorraine also worked as a nursing assistant for Plaza Manor in Glen Burnie, Maryland and the University of Maryland Medical System (S. Greene Street) in Baltimore, Maryland until she became ill. Later, she became a caregiver for the Glasband Family, thus adopting an additional nephew by the name of Matthew Glasband, whom she loved dearly.

In 1952, Lorraine married the love of her life, Willam Waverly White. From this union she had one loving daughter, Evelyn Christine White known as "Peanut."

Affectionately known as "Dookie" to her friends and loved ones, Lorraine was always the life of the party. It was never a dull moment when she showed up at friends' and family members' houses, ready for a fun time. Her favorite food to fix for family game night was potato salad and chicken salad. Every plate in the house would be full of her tasty salads.

Lorraine made friends everywhere she traveled and was known as the Pinochle Queen, Bingo Master and Puzzle Solver. Recently, her grandson Patrick taughther how to play Sequence and that became her favorite game of all times. You could not leave the house without her cornering you to play Sequence before you left; however, if you said "No," you would never hear the end of it. During her quiet time, Lorraine loved to read her Bible, watch old Westerns and enjoyed Steve Harvey's Family Feud. When her daughter drove her around town, Lorraine would always greet strangers on the street and often prayed for them.

Over the years, Lorraine developed an amazing prophetic prayer life that has also manifested in her offspring. It was never a problem to ask for prayer, because Lorraine never hesitated to call on her heavenly Father for assistance. Rejoicing in her spiritual development, Lorraine was a minister under several dynamic ambassadors for Christ, Bishop, Dennis Golphin-Choice Manner Family Worship Center; Apostle Deanna S. Jobes-Haven of Rest Sanctuary of Praise; Bishop Douglas Cornish-Greater Victory and Deliverance Church of Jesus Christ; and current Pastor, Elder Anthony Harvey Jackson-Harvest Time World Ministries.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, William Waverly White; 2 sons, Nathaniel Parker, Clarence Parker; grandson, Nathaniel Parker Jr.; granddaughter, Konear Parker, 2 sisters, Linda Cager, Delores Hall; and 3 brothers, James Howard, Roland Cager and Bernard Cager.

She leaves to cherish her legacy, her devoted daughter, Evelyn Christine Jackson (Elder Anthony Jackson); 7 adored grandchildren, Rev. Cherese Johnson (Patrick), Trena Harris (Deron), Blake Jackson, Victor Parker Sr., Latarsha Jones (Tony), Takeeta Reed (Aaron) and Victoria Parker; 5 great grandchildren, Konear Parker, Terron Parker, Victor Parker Jr., Christian Parker and Iva Harris; sister, Marilyn Raynor (Harvey); 3 Special Cousins, Elaine Shell, Rosetta "Bunny" Ward and Duchess Vaughn; 7 sisters-in-law, Annie Allen, Margret Brown, Ellen Jane Cager, Sharon Cager, Clemetine White, Fannie White and Virginia White; 2 adopted sons, Trenton Parker, Louis Parker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends near and far.
