Lorraine Johnson daughter of the late Bennie and Martha Witherspoon, was born on June 2, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on May 28, 2010 after a brief illness. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was employed at W.C. Grace Chemical Company for over twenty-five years. Upon her retirement she became a blessing to several foster care agencies with certified training. She cared for in her home and loved babies to young adults for over ten years. Lorraine was an interior designer for her home and other beautiful homes. Her entrepreneur skills took her to another level of creativity; formal training as a florist. She mad unque floral arrangements for weddings, retirements and other occasions. Lorraine was also trained in hair and nursing schools. Her passion and love for family took her visiting all over the United States and cruise abroad. Family gatherings with plenty of food and festivities were a favority pastime for Lorraine. She leaves to mourn; her children, daughter DeJournette Moody and two sons, Ray Johnson and Augustus Johnson; grandchildren, Alvin, Carlos, Crystal and Augustus Jr.,; sister, Irene Cooper; brother Bennie Witherspoon Jr., siter-in-law, Rachael Witherspon; uncles, Willie, David and Charles Witherspoon of Baltimore, Maryland, and Clarence Harrell of Baltimore, Maryland; aunts, Gloria Withspoon, Sara Lee Crowell, Saphire Witherspoon and Carrie Thomas of Baltimore, Maryland, Naomi Robinson of New York; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
