Lou Ida Barton, daughter of the late Lance and Ethel Chavis was born on December 22, 1956 in Pembroke, North Carolina. She departed this life on June 16,2015 after a short illness. She received her education in Pembroke, North Carolina Public School System. She was a very kind and loving daughter, mother, and sister. She made numerous friends throughout her lifetime wherever she went. Everyone she touched will sincerely miss her especially her long time companion, John. She was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Barton; brother, Steve Barton; brother-in-law, Donald Pevia Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving companion, John Teal; three children, Louann Curtis( Randy), Erin F owler( Kelly) of Baltimore, MD and Shelley Fowler(Jonathan) of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; three sisters, Linda Pevia of Pikesville, MD, Verdie Jacobs (Hansford) of Pembroke, NC, and Carolyn Hardin of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Howard Barton of Pembroke, NC; six grandchildren, Crystal Pettis, Chance Curtis, Ricardo Fowler, Rico Fowler, Keegan Fowler, and Ricky Fowler all-from Baltimore, MD; one great-grandson, Harley Pettis, of Baltimore, MD and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives andfriends Viewing Joseph H.
