son
the son of the late Rebecca and William Jackson was born on November 7, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Louis, known to many as "Jack", "Shorty" and "Pops" was educated in the
Baltimore City Public School System. He graduated from Frederick Douglass
High School in 1950. Jack enlisted in the United States Army in 1952 and was
stationed in Louisville, Kentucky where he was honorably discharged. He
enjoyed his time in Kentucky. After being discharged from the Army he
worked at AAMCO Steel for 25 years before retiring.
Louis was married to Dorothea Johnson from 1970 to 1987.
Jack was a person who valued family and friends. There was nothing he
would not do to help anyone. He enjoyed playing pool, card games and
playing the lottery in which he did very well. He also enjoyed going to the
casinos.
He enjoyed people so much that he took pleasure in being a hack, taking
people he knew and some he didn't know around Baltimore.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his sister, Ruth H. Williams; eight nieces,
Phyllis Kent Moulton (Mr. Slick), Bernadette Hayes, Dorothrea McDaniels,
Sandra Taylor, Karen Taylor, Cynthia Mackins, Carol Burrell (Carl) and his
devoted niece like daughter, Donna Marie McDaniels; eight nephews, Elmer
Taylor (Denise), Vernon Taylor (Daisy), William Jackson, Anthony Casey
(Vivian), Wade Jackson (Crystal), Gregory Taylor (Cynthia), Donnell Jack-
son (Robin) and Eugene Parker; his great nephew and buddy Gerren T. Taylor
and a host of great and great great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
