IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucille
Jones
April 9, 1932 – November 16, 2016
Lucille Jones, fondly known as DUE, was born on April 9, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Earl Jones and the late Lucille Dangerfield. On Wednesday, November 16, 2016 our beloved Lucille departed this life's earthly tabernacle for eternal rest.
Lucille was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She had numerous jobs in the food service and health care industries.
She will always be remembered as a giving and caring person which exemplified her love for Christ, who she accepted at an early age.
Everywhere Lucille went she knew someone and would strike up a conversation. After being in her presence you would always walk away with a smile on your face, because she was just that friendly. Besides talking to people, Due loved shopping. Two of her favorite places to shop for bargains were the Dollar Tree and Thrift stores. Lucille also adored chil- dren. Whenever children came to visit her, she would always have a toy or a gift for them. Oh yes, we cannot forget her love for the Roller Derby. If she was not watching it on television, she would be at the Civic Center watching Roller Derby live and in person. Lucille also enjoyed visiting the casinos. She absolutely enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Thompson (the late Capers Thompson), Deborah Shields (Selwyn Shields, Sr.), and one son Terry Jones (Dr. Edna Street-Jones). Her sons Horace (Leon) and Mario pre- ceded her in death. Several grandchildren including Charles, Stacy, Capers Jr., Selwyn Jr., the late Sherri (Ducy), Deana, Lenard, Maurice, Michael, Marcus, Mario Jr., Janelle, Christopher and Brittany. Two faithful and loving sisters-in-law, Queen and Phyllis. Along with a host of great grand- children, nieces, nephews and friends.
