Beyond the gates our loved one finds Happiness and rest; and there is comfort in the thought that a loving God knows best Luke Brown was born on April 28, 1930 to late Jesse Brown and Mary Alice Easter Brown In Ante County Empoira Va. He departed this life on Monday May 25, 2009 at 12:57 AM Luke was the second child in th family. Older sister Louise Williams and youngest brother James Author preceded him in dearth. Youngest sister delores Taylor is the only surviving siling and husband Marvin. Luke was educated in Ante County, Virgina. Luke joined the U.S armyFeb 5, 1951-Jan 13, 1953 with an honorable discharge through the Korean War. He worked for Ward and Tuner Machine Company until retirement. Luke met and married Plummer Corene Cain on April 17, 1954. During this union three children were born, Phyllis, Micheal, and Jacqueline. Luke joined the Popular Mont Baptist Church at an early age. He moved to Baltimore, Md and later joined first charity Baptist Church under the late Rev. T.C Tunner as usher and later was elevated as Trustee under the latte Rev P.Kearney and Rev.Hollis Neal. He moved on with Rev.Charles Dunn at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church and served as Deacon until his death. Luke worked faithfully with the Maryland food Bank and was an inspiration to many. Luke leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife 55 years Plummer, two daughters Bishop Phyllis Henderson and Jacqueline Brown, one son Deacon Michael Brown one son in law Apostle Wilbert Henderson, one daughter in law Anita Brownand wife Tiffany, Crysatl Henderson, Ashely and Nicholes Brown, one great grandson Marcus Jr. Two foster sons Abdu and Russell, one godson Dwayne Brown and best friend Randolph Eaton. Five brother in laws, four sister in law, a host of neices, nephews, cousin other relatives, and friends.
