On March 17, 2009, Lynne Sinia Bowen slipped away into eternal rest and peace. Born the eldest of identical twins to the late Robert James and Ida Mae Pompey, Lynne relished her role as big sister to her twin and younger brother. A graduate of Northwestern Senior High School, she volunteered at her alma mater as an assistant cheeleading coach to the Woldcat Varsity Cheer Squad and was instrumental in the squad's first successful cheerleading competition where they placed second in the small varsity category. She began coaching inner city kids with the Northeast Charger's Pop Warner Cheer Program and earned a third place trophy in the 2003 Maryland State Cheerleading competition. Lynne began her post secondary education in Mass Communication at Morgan State and Towson University. Lynne was a devoted member of the Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore and continued her community service by spearheading the Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore S.H.A.R.E. Program and by heading the usher board. Lynne was ap popular local spoken word artist known as, "Papa Dee" who oftern shared her gift by writing poems to reflect the lives of her friends and family. She was fondly known as Aunt Lynne by everyone that knew and loved her. For fifteen years, Lynne worked for the Internal Revenue Service before turning her aspirations to her own tax and accounting firm. she successfully owned and iperated Bowen's Tax and Accounting Service until her passing. Her favorite pastime activity was sharing special moments with her Lhasa Apso, Trixie and her cat, Ladybug. Lynne Bowen is survived by: her partner, Annette Johnson; her daughter, Amber Green; her twin sister, Lynette Singleton; her brother, Bryant Pompey; her brother-in-law, Michael Singleton; her sister-in-law, Gina Pompey; her niece and nephew, Dawn and Marcus Singleton; and a host of family and friends.
