Mactrudy Austin, daughter of Jeremiah and Maggie Brown was born on August 24, 1940 in Franklin, V A. She departed this life on January 3, 2015. She received her education in the Baltimore School System. She later married her first husband and had a son, Tyrone Austin. She entered into her second marriage and had another son, Chris Anthony Shaw (who preceded her in death). She rematried her first husband and raised her nephew from an infant to adulthood. Later, she started working as a bus aide which lasted approximately 5-6 years. Although she enjoyed her job and seldom missing time, she had to retire due to the affect it had on her legs. She was a very special person, loving, caring, treating people the way she wanted to be treated with dignity and respect, always trusting in the Lord for faith and guidance. About a month or so before her passing, her health started to rapidly decline, never once forgetting to say"] put my faith and trust in God". She leaves to mourn: her sons, Tyrone Austin and Anthony Brown; daughter-in-law, Michelle Austin; grandsons, Marcus Austin and Tyrone Austin; granddaughters, Shanae Austin, Denise Austin and Tiffany Aus- tin; two great grandchildren; her brothers, Jeremiah Brown, Criszon Brown and Whisby M. Brown; her sisters, JoAnn Curry, Patricia Brown and Brenda Brown; brother-in-law, Samuel Curry; sister-in-law, Monica Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends .
