Madeline Lightford, beloved daughter of the late Thomas Abrams and Anne Abrams, was born June 29, 1919 in New Kent, Virginia and departed this life on June 14, 2009 at 11:31 p.m. She was educated in the Virginia County School System. She was employed at Bickfoots Restaurant where she worked for years. She united in holy matrimony to the late Daniel Lightford. they rasised her nephew Blair Levi Lipscomb as her son. Mrs. Madeline loved music. She was well known by many prople. She had a way with words; if you didn't watch yourself you'll be itching for a greasing, as she would say. She was a kind and loving person. Her and her sister Ms. Estell, had a beautiful bond; they loved each other very much. She leaves to mourn; son; Blair Levi Lipscomb; four sisters, Estell Elliott, Helen Jackson, Anne Washington and Betty Anne Meaking; three grandchildren, Nicole Lipscomb, April Lipscomb and Churies Lipscomb; and two stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sandy Lipscvomb; and a host of other relatives and friends, including a very special loved one, Felicia Dorsey, who always found the time to extend love and compassion to care for her during her time of need.
