Mae Ellen Crews, daughter of the late Joseph and Wilhamia Johnson, was born on October 26, 1947 in Durham, North Carolina. She departed this life on April 18,2017 after fighting a number of illness.

Mae received her education in the Anne Arundel County Public School System and then continuing on to Business School. She obtained a position at the MVA in Glen Burnie, Maryland as an Office Clerk.

On October 1967, she married Joseph Crews in a small ceremony with her close family and friends. During the marriage she gave birth to four children, Anthony Crews, Andre Crews, Lamont Crews and April Crews.

She loved spending time with her family and two grandchildren, Jamell T. Robinson and Terrell L. Godwin. She enjoyed going to the movies, dinner and watch her favorite programs on TV. She also loved talking about the old times and laughing with family and friends.

She leaves to mourn: Barbara Kirby (Husband-Karl), Joseph Johnson Jr., Patricia Johnson, Joann Williams (Husband-Willis), Curtis Johnson (Wife- Tina), Gordon Johnson (Wife-Bonita) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Going home to brother, Hank Johnson.
