Mamie Esther Woodson-Ward unexpectedly departed this life June 14, 2011. She was the youngest daughter to William Reid Woodson and Lizzie Glass Woodson; she was born March 7, 1939 in Keeling Va. Mamie came to Baltimore as a young teen where she resided until her death. Mamie was a very caring person and she loved taking care of and spoiling the elderly, but she was quick to scold them if they did not follow doctor's orders. Mamie also loved children, She successfully operated her own Daycare until her health prevented it. She received numerous certificates and awards for her services. For a time she worked in the janitorial department in the Maryland State Office of Parole and Probation. Mamie worshiped and loved the Lord and her Gospel mucic. She was married to Joseph Ward who preceded her in death. Mamie leaves to morn and cherish her memory two sisters, Viola Adams of Danville, Va, Laura Jackson of Newark, Del. and one baby brother Raleigh Woodson of Danville, Va. Four sisters-in-laws Gladys Woodson, Earlie Woodson and Ruth Irby. Two brothers-in-laws, Frank Adams and Harry Jackson, two dedicated nieces Margie Carter and Rita Pinder, a devoted God sister Miriam Gregory, two God childre, Danielle and Tony, close family friend Jeanette Cole, a special friend SylvestrCuttyJones and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eight brothers and four sisters preceded Mamie in death.
