IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcello A.
Simon
January 29, 1972 – May 19, 2016
Marcello Anthony Simon,
affectionately known as Man, was born January
29,1972,
in Washington D.C
.
to Rolland Simon and Donna Simon.
Marcello Simon received his education in Baltimore, Maryland. As a
child he went to school in Iceland. While attending school he was known
to be very friendly and forged many close friendships. In his early years
he enjoyed horseback riding, DJ'ing and watching wrestling.
Man later went to live in South Carolina with his father. During the time
he lived in South Carolina he received his
3
most precious gifts, his sons,
Dominique', Donovane' and De'quanne' ("The Boys"). Marcello was a
devoted father.
Marcello moved his family to Georgia where he worked careers in
construction as a heavy equipment operator and the superintendent of
pipe crews while with Lewis Trucking. After returning to Maryland he
worked as a dock worker at the National Institute of Health.
Marcello had many loves in life such as traveling, cards, and music but
none like the love he had for his children. He enjoyed spending time with
his family and friends playing Spades, Bid Wisk and Tunk. His favorite
part of playing cards was the "trash talking". One of his fondest memo-
ries was when he traveled across the country with his sons, who are
cross-country truck drivers.
Marcello departed this life on May
19,
2016 with his mother by his side.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his three sons, Dominique' Simon,
Donovane'Simon, De'quanne' Simon; parents, Rolland Simon, Donna
Simon; sisters, Rhonda Simon (Parker), Reagan Simon, Crystal Simon
(Samuels); brothers, Little Rolland Simon, Benson Thomas, Octavis
McNeil; a brother-in
-
law, Michael Parker; a grandmother
,
Jean Spear-
man; and a host of nieces, nephews
,
