Obituary

Margaret Geraldine Broadnick, daughter of the late Shirley Frazier and James Reid was born on November 30, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the second four children. Skimoe or Jeri as she was known to family and friends was raised in Brooklyn where she attended Fort Hamilton High School. She began her work career in banking and achieved success in this financial industry for more than 30 years. She was a dedicated employee and was respected and admired by her co-workers and managers. The joy of her life was her family. Skimoe met her husband Ronald known to many as Ron during her high school years and they were married on August 16, 1969. To this union, two children were born, Tyrone and Lauren Tracy. Skimore was a wonderful companion, mother and grandmother. She took great joy in creating a beautiful, warm and nurturing home for her family. Skimoe enjoyed baking, sewing and decorating. She devoted much of her time and energy as a care giver to family members and friends. Skimoe was full of style, love and laughter. She touched the lives of many and always gave unselfishly to family and friends. Skimoe was a dedicated servant of the Lord. Through the Lord's blessings and guidance she was able to demonstrate God's love and gifts to others. On Monday July 23, 2012, Skimoe peacefully departed to eternal rest. Skimoe's memories will be cherished by her husband Ronald Broadnick, son Tyrone Broadnick, daughter, Lauren Tracy Broadnick, daughter-in-law, Amanda Broadnick, grandsons, Aquan Broadnick, and Odell Drayton preced her in death, granddaughters, Shamila Drayton and Megan Drayton. sisters Barbara Williams, Patricia Irick and Roberta Wright preceded her in death and on brother James Fields. Sisters-in-law, Virginia Blocker and Patricia Mayfield, brothers-in-law Henry Irick, Vernon Wright and Ricardo Blocker, Nieces, Kim, Regina, Shirley, Frances, Myra and Devin, Nephews, Anthony, Larry, Damon, Dewayne and Maurice. Devoted friends of the family; The Johnson family, the Jacob family, the Jennings family, the King family, the Hargrove family, the Grimmes family, The golden Corral, and host of great grandchildren, great nieces, and nephews, cousins and friends,
