Obituary

Margaret Regina Meads Rhodes, beloved daughter of the late John and Mary Meads, was born August 22, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland. God called her to eternal rest after a lenghty illness. Margaret was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. On June 11, 1955, Margaret was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Carl Rhodes. This union of love was blessed with a marital bliss. Margaret was introduced to Christ at an age age. She joined Emmanuel C.C, Church, but later transferred her membership to John Westley in South Baltimore, and later to John Wesley United Methodist Church, 3203 W. North Avenue. She was a member of the Senior Chior and one of the founders of Aim High Club. She enjoyed listening to and singing hymns. Margaret loved her Pastor and Church family. She was always willing to prepare food and willing to served wherever she was needed. Margaret loved children and older people, and always had a house full of children. She would cook for them and take them on trips, and they called her aunt Margaret. Margaret was a faithful and loving wife to her deceased husband Carl Rhodes. She was a people person, made friends wherever she went, and was well known and liked by all who came in contact with her. She enjoyed her family, neighbors and friends, and loved life to its fullest. Margaret will be sincerely missed by all. She leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted nieces, Vivan Taylor, Vanice Taylor, Tamera Hall and Candice Taylor; nephews, Michael and William Taylor Jr., cordero Taylor, Clarence and Charles Lowery, Edward, Robert and William Taylor; sister-in-law, Sarah Lynn Rhodes; good neighbors, Naon and Albert Prater and Louise Caldwell; lifetime friends, Peggy Carroll Holland, Annie Mae Durham, gretia Thompson and Peggy Green; a host of other relatives and friends.
