IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margie
Butler
January 18, 1969 – December 9, 2020
Margie Julia Butler, daughter of the late John and Julia Butler, was born on November 18, 1969, in Baltimore, Maryland. Margie unexpectedly gained her wings on December 9, 2020, her mothers earthly birthday.
Margie was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She worked at the U.S. Post Office, Giant Foods and Assistant Home Care throughout the years and before her disability. "Boot da Boot" as her family and friends affectionately called her, was full spirited, funny, had a way with words and the gift of gab. However, if you dared to call her "Boot da Boot" in her adult years, Margie was sure to correct you. She certainly did things her way. She was the sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend who couldn't hold water. "Benita Catrell" was no match for her.
Our beloved was known for her love of cats, which sometimes we thought she loved them more than people. She always said, "cats will love you unconditionally; they like to chill, and they are low maintenance".
Margie will genuinely be missed. Who do we call for a good laugh when we're down? Who do we call for the latest news"? Who will cook our favorite dish? Card games will not be the same without our Margie talking stuff. But it's Ok! Rest easy, Marg. Your job here is done. We will unexpectedly laugh out loud, thinking back on something you said or did. We will get the "news" from another source. We'll remember you as we eat those dishes that we all enjoyed. We will now have a chance to get our books at the card table, and they'll be no more cheating!
As Marg entered the gates of heaven, she was greeted by her mother and father, who probably turned to God and uttered these words...... "OH LORD!!!!"
Margie leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Delnora D. Noble and Latricia D. Staples; two brothers, Carnell Hanson and David Goode; one brother-in-law, Marc Staples; favorite and only niece, Davina Parker; two aunts, Mary Logan and Ernestine Hill; one uncle, Willie Hanson; twin god children, DaRon and Davon Ashe; best friend, Wycatta Brady; childhood friend, Rodney Pate; long time friend, Michael Campbell; family friend, Sandra Cocclough and her significant other, Tony Hopson along with a host of other relatives and friends.
