MARIANNE ROSE JOHNSON LONG, daughter of the late Mandotis and Pearl Johnson, was born on November 24, 1921 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the oldest of 21 children. She departed this life on August 19, 2016.

Marianne fondly known as 'Marie' and 'Rianne' to family and friends, graduated from Bates High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She had a few factory jobs until she was employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a supervisor in the Maintenance Engineering Department. She remained in this position until her retirement in 1986.

She was blessed with six children; Thomas Rawlings, Patricia Rawlings- Dorsey, William long, [r., Alan long, Pearl long-Thomas and Barbara Matthews that she loved and adored. She also raised a nephew, Michael Johnson, whom she loved like a son. She really enjoyed the love and companionship she shared with the love of her life of 55 years, Howard Francis Jackson, who preceded her in death.

Marianne was a great mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who also loved the lord. She had a smile that would warm your heart. Because of her gentle spirit and love, she was always willing to help out family and friends in their time of need. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping, going to the beach, amusement parks, movies, concerts, wrestling, roller derby and playing slot machines. After having all this type of fun, you would find her at home in her room watching cable and soap operas.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia, William, Pearl and Barbara; grandchildren, Wallace, Thomas, Timothy, Alan, Kyron, Antoine, Shanika, April, Tashan, Tyhair, [aden, Nizayah, Valerie, Tameria, Ebony, Allegra, James; great-grandchildren, Timothy, [r., Emmanuel, Autumn, Kyron, [r., Kymaurie, Jasmine, Ava, Amira, Ariana, Alan III, Kamaya, Aden, Tantania, Jerome, Mykeara, Malik, Malika, Kasmere, Arnia, Marquise, Michael, Tyashie, Terelle, India, Sean, Shaniqua, Chaz, Chance and Jasmine J.; sisters, lena, June and Jessica; brothers, Irving and Daniel; brother-in-law, Jessie; sisters-in-law, Karen and Edith; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
