Marie was born February 11, 1954 to James and Edna Black She was the youngest daughter of 9 children and the prettiest- we all decided. Marie was educated and graduated from the (Baltimore City (public School Systems. She was a cook,, cosmetologist, and hair care specialist. She was also a good listener to most people she met. Marie had the opportunity of being a wife, then a mother to her two children Edna Lorraine Coates and Larry Coates and a grandmother to her grandchildren Darwin Milburn, Jaelin Coates and (Parser Coates. She was also our sister, an aunt, a cousin and a friend. As many of us do, Marie enjoyed and loved life. She quoted, "the life that I live is the life that I love. "She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading his word. Gods gracious words meant everything to her. Knowing God showed her his grace, mercy, goodness and forgiveness was wonderful. God treated her special as he does each and every one of us. In our sadness he is present; in our love he is present. She would say, "God gives us his immediate attention, he never takes his eyes off of us; he never blinds!" (Please know that God will do his job and judge. Sometimes we get it wrong and think that he gave us the job of judging but he didn't. He gave us the job of loving one another. We know that Marie would thank everyone that she's ever met for participating in her life. She would want you to remember the happiness you've shared together. 'This is a joyous time: smile, be happy and remember Gods grace and love for all of us eternally. We will not list who Marie has left to mourn because we can see by your presence. The family would like to extend a very special thanks you and God bless you to Mr. Walter Gibson for his love and care of Marie. Thank you! Funeral Service Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
